Web2.0 Training & Exchange Workshop

Promoting Opportunities for Youth in Agriculture & ICT's- Social Media
The five day workshop organised by the Land Resources Division of the Secretariat of the Pacific Community, in partnership with the Technical Centre for Agricultural and Rural Cooperation EU- ACP (CTA), was very informative and I can say useful in terms of advancement in the Agricultural sector.
For me personally, I entered the workshop with expectation that I would be just focusing on Agriculture topics and debating on issues. But instead.....participants were trained in things like designing own blogs, how to use google doc, and also in areas like how to use other social media for example LinkedIn, Facebook, etc.
Also, youths get to debate on the advantages and disadvantages of social media.
For me personally, I get to have ideas on how this training can make a big difference in a small organisation like FRIEND.
Also in the work environment, I believe that social media like google doc would be very helpful in terms of decreasing work load and  increasing efficiency and productivity.
For the farmers in the North though this might not be very applicable but to move with new technologies, we will also have to adapt.
Looking forward to a new era in the Northern Division!!!!
